The Alba Highland Dancers are not a dance troupe as such, they are a dedicated group of Highland Dancers who are based in Stirlingshire, Central Scotland and compete at the highest levels at competitions and Highland Games throughout Scotland, which is where we have taken the name "Alba Dannsa" which translated from Gaelic literally means Scotland's Dancers.

The Alba Dannsa Highland Dancers are available to hire for Weddings, Festivals, Corporate functions, Ceilidh's, Burn's Nights and StAndrews Day celebrations.

Our Highland Dancers have a wealth of experience which includes the S.O.H.D.A 2006 Open British National Champion. Our Highland Dancers have traveled to and competed abroad in many different countries as well as performing at displays and Festivals all over Europe (Spain, France, Germany, England) performing for as little as 30 people at a corporate function and up to 15,000 at various festivals.

Our aim is to make your Wedding day, Ceilidh, Burns Night, Corporate Function, Festival, Party, that little bit more special, something you and your guests will never forget and to this end all our performances will be tailored to meet your individual event requirements.

Highland Dancing performances are very flexible and can entertain your guests at various times and places during your big day.

Prior to the reception.

While you are having your photographs taken our Highland Dancers can entertain your guests as they await your arrival at the venue.

During your bands rest break

While your band is having a well earned break give your guests a chance to catch their breaths as our Highland Dancers perform some of Scotland's oldest and best known dances just for you.

Serving a buffet for your evening guests

Give all your guests something to remember and have our dancers perform while you and your guests enjoy the buffet.

Extra features

The Sailors Hornpipe -

Does your event have a naval connection, our dancers can perform the Sailors Hornpipe complete with outfit. The dance steps mimic the actions required to operate a sailing ship of the line.

The Irish Jig -

Not to be confused with Irish dancing this is the Scottish version (again with it's own outfit) which pokes a little bit of fun at our Irish cousins the dance steps depict a wife's anger at her husband.

Booking Information Requirements

When contacting us for a quote for your event the following details will be required.

Venue Name.

Full address.

Date of Event.

Approx starting time and

duration for performance.

Once all of the above details have been arranged and the quote has been accepted a non refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking, we will then contact you to confirm your booking when the deposit has been received.

The remaining balance to be paid by cheque 10 days prior to the event performance or by cash on the night.

All cheques should be made payable to "24 / 7 Events"
